30+ Years in the Making

Thomas G. Fowler, president of Tom Fowler, Inc., has spent the last 30 years collecting Eskimo and Inuit art. His collection eventually outgrew his home and has now found a new home in his new gallery – the Inua Gallery – a gallery for Northern Indigenous Art and Antiquities.
The logo for the Inua Gallery (shown upper right) was designed by Tom. Eskimos believe that all living things, even inanimate objects, possess a spirit or soul called an inua. In Eskimo and Inuit art, the inua is always represented by a small human or semi-human face. The gallery logo represents its namesake and was created using the initials T G F (Thomas G. Fowler).
As you might imagine, if you know Tom, the gallery is a beautiful space and he would be happy to share his wealth of information about all of the work on exhibit and for sale. The gallery is in Stamford and shown by appointment only. You will also see some of Tom’s own carvings and hand made boxes.
Please call 203-329-1105 if you would like an appointment.
