The Moment of Truth

New York, NY — “Marketers and retailers are challenged as never before to convey their message and promote their brand. Package design, instore graphics and point-of-sale are increasingly the difference maker as to the when, where and how of the consumer’s purchasing decision.”

The American Package Design Awards, sponsored by Graphic Design USA was created to recognize these segments of the design industry. “This annual competition celebrates the traditional skills and newfound power of package design and instore graphics to advance the brand promise and connect emotionally with the buyer at the moment of truth.”

Four pieces designed by TFI Envision, Inc. were selected from over 1,000 entries to receive awards this year, including:
– A series of mini counter top gravity feed displays for Vaseline Cocoa Butter and Intensive Rescue Body Butter, designed for Unilever Home & Personal Care USA (shown at left). These displays each show the swirl of rich creamy body butter inside the package which differentiates it from lotions.
– The Shedd’s Spread Country Crock® “Thank You America” Promotional Packaging, designed for Unilever Foods
– Bendix® CQ™ Ceramic Brake Pads Packaging, designed
for Honeywell Consumer Products Group – A series of promotional packages for Vaseline Total Moisture and Intensive Rescue Lotion, designed for Unilever Home & Personal Care USA (shown bottom right). These packages utilize imagery from their new ad campaign that focus on all different types of skin and a concise product benefit message.

The winners will be published in the March 2008 issue of Graphic Design USA, which has a readership of over 100,000 creative and marketing decision makers.
