Safety gets a Bronze
Meriden, CT — On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, the Advertising Club of Connecticut held its 58th Annual Awards Show honoring the best and the brightest in the Advertising Industry in Connecticut. TFI Envision, Inc. was delighted to receive a Bronze Award for Public Service Newspaper Ad for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind Heeling Autism Newspaper Advertisement.
The ad focuses on one of the leading concerns for parent’s of autistic children — the risk of their child bolting into the street. Heeling Autism dogs are trained to prevent a child with autism from bolting, and become an important element in keeping the child safe.
Guiding Eyes for the Blind introduced this program in which its world-renowned dogs are trained to provide safety for children with autism. A Heeling Autism dog in a family with an autistic child can:
– increase social acknowledgment of the child by his
or her peers
– provide companionship
– reduce parental stress
– increase the child’s level of independence,
confidence, and social acceptance
TFI Envision, Inc. has been working together with Guiding Eyes for the Blind since 2007 on a wide variety of projects – from updating their branding and creating ‘mobile branded billboards’ on their vans, to developing their annual reports and newsletters, to creating unique invitations to their major fundraising events.
