Travel Without The Baggage
LugLess aims to alleviate many of travelers’ frequent frustrations, including overpriced baggage fees and lost bags, by providing secure luggage shipping to more than 235 countries.
After users place their order, the service mails them luggage tags and shipping labels. Bags and other belongings, such as sports equipment and baby strollers, are picked up and delivered to their destination. The service boasts that it’s 20%-40% cheaper than shipping directly through UPS, FedEx, or DHL, with rates starting at $39. Since the company’s founder Brian Altomare pitched the idea on Shark Tank last year, sales have doubled and users have tripled.
