National Therapy Animal Day
Bellevue, WA — Did you know that Monday May 18, 2015 is the First Annual National Therapy Animal Day™?
Pet Partners created this special day to recognize all of the exceptional therapy animals who partner with their human companions to bring comfort and healing to those in need. Pet Partners is the national leader in demonstrating and promoting positive human-animal therapy, activities and education. Therapy animals and their handlers can be found helping people of all ages in a variety of different settings including hospitals, pediatric care units, schools and nursing homes.
We will be celebrating our very own Therapy Animal, Honey, an 8 yr old Havanese, who has been a Therapy Animal since she was a pup as part of the Healing Hounds Program at Stamford Hospital.
