Land Rover Is Resurrecting Old Vehicles to New Condition
UK – Nostalgia will always be a potent selling tool, especially for automotive aficionados. Land Rover is capitalizing on that with the Reborn program. It is intended to seek out and comprehensively restore vintage Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles. These are then offered for sale to customers as brand new collector examples.
The latest completed vehicle is a factory-restored 1978 three door Range Rover Classic. It was unveiled at Salon Rétromobile, an annual vintage car exhibition held in Paris in early February 2017. It went through a complete tear down by Land Rover specialists and was rebuilt to the original 1970’s specs. Parts were sourced from Land Rover’s archives in order to preserve the vehicle’s authenticity. This model was particularly popular and continued on in production two years after a more modern replacement was introduced.
