Toyota’s New Concept Store Is A Cafe And Car Share Showroom

Japan– Japanese millennials aren’t fond of buying new cars. But Toyota has to do something to connect with Japan’s young drivers. Hence, Drive To Go, the part-café and part rent-a-car was born.
In Nagoya, Drive To Go was specifically located near a university where people in their 20s often frequent the area. To attract the younger crowd, Toyota designed a modern, relaxed space for them to hang out in and maybe, consider renting a car while they’re there. This new project was created by Inamoto & Co., an innovation company that has been helping Toyota find ways to engage with their customers better now that drivers have new transport and driving habits to consider. Drive To Go offers sandwiches, salads, sides and different variants of coffee, tea, and juices while renting out just five vehicles on its roster. Renting a car can be as affordable as US$10 an hour.
